"I
am sad it has ended!"
(cont.)
With
a frenzied rhetoric of loud African drums played by young men
with arms well crafted by the act they have so gracefully mastered,
the women emptied themselves from all emotions as they proved
with their agile bodies the fact that all cultures can co-exist
in perfect harmony.
In
the days preceding this presentation, Kusum Gboo had taken over
forty participants which included engineers, architects, civil
servants, musicians, teachers, painters, social workers and college/university
students through the basic movements of Ghanaian dance pieces
like "Sogo", "Kpanlogo", "Papaya",
"Atsiagbekor", and "Gahu" while drummers were
introduced to the beautiful rhythms of "Fume Fume",
"Gobi" and "Kpanlogo".
